In order to capitalize on the Metro Rail system and it's impact on the growth of the city, EMBARQ India has been working in collaboration with the Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT) in developing methodologies to help design and develop suitable public spaces and built environment around the metro stations.
This chart shows a map of the focus area of the pilot project - Indiranagar Metro Station, which is predominantly a residential neighbourhood with high concentration of commercial activity along the major roads. It also shows the strategies & recommendations of the project in two parts - Safe Access Proposal (SAP) & Development Control Regulations (DCR).
The information presented in this chart appears in EMBARQ India presentation, Towards a Walkable and Sustainable Bengaluru. View the presentation to access more charts & graphs from this project.
