EquiMobility Champions I Apply Today
The WRI India EquiMobility Champions Program is a 10-month education and mentorship program that will support 10 individuals with a shared vision for gender-inclusive mobility systems. Empowering change-makers, the program will hone the leadership potential of the selected individuals towards advancing the relevant policies and practices towards achieving this vision.
We are looking for individuals who embrace diversity, equality, and inclusion as personal values. An early- or mid-career professional, in any field related to urban transportation, planning or gender studies, can apply. Additionally, applicants must also support the mission, goals, and values of the EquiMobility Champions project –

Working towards integrating gender considerations in urban mobility and planning systems either in an individual capacity or through an organisation.

Representing underrepresented transport user groups and their travel needs, amplifying voices that are often overlooked in traditional practices.

Exhibiting a high level of commitment and collaborative skills and able to allocate time for the Program.

Open to diverse viewpoints and actively sharing information on gender responsive mobility with their networks.

Possessing or willing to develop good communication skills and demonstrating mutual respect when interacting with others.

Having a robust network or eager to engage with people within their networks.

Gain Experience

Undertaking research and documentation of women's mobility patterns, travel needs, challenges and perception of the city's transport systems.

Raising awareness about gendered differences in travel patterns, needs and access to transport options through on-ground campaigns, print, digital, and social media.

Engaging with women at the community-level to understand their mobility needs and challenges and enabling them to develop appropriate solutions and present their concerns before city officials.

Engaging with decision-makers to promote women's active participation in the planning and implementation of transport policies and projects.

Developing and implementing relevant gender-responsive mobility initiatives based on best practices, local requirements and research learnings.
